History of Trampolines
Trampoline is a wonderful invention invented by George Nissen who is said to be the founder of Trampoline and given birth to this great
apparatus in year 1914 in California.
The history of a trampoline is quite simple and the concept is said to be enter into George Nissen's mind while he was attending a Circus and
there he noticed the circus artist who was performing wonderful acts, there George noticed that if anyone from the artist falls down, for the
safety purposes, he is using a net which keeps him safe.
An idea clicked into George's mind which was to use this technique and giving a stable controlling way to an artist and the person doing
gymnastic to get a control back of his body while falling freely from a height and re-gain body movements to perform more stunts and moves.
The first trampoline created by George consists of canvas sheet which was attached to many strong springs of high tension and bounded
with a metal frame giving full support to bear the jumping tensions of a free falling body.
This metal frame was supported by a number of pillars to give a space from ground level to the free falling body. Later this invention got so
much popularity that it became a necessity in all types of acrobatic moves.
The History of Trampoline holds back one more story which is by a performer who is entitled as "Du Trampoline". That person is said to be
using pieces of trapeze net material in the circuit stunts to bounce a body in air.
But this did not get popularity as the real theory and shape is provided by George Nissen. Trampolines are also used by fire extinguishers
department as well as in year 2000 when Olympics was held Jumping on a trampoline was made an important event and no gymnast is considered
complete if he cannot bounce from a trampoline.
It can also be used at home and indeed jumping is a great exercise for all ages.
